Three Tenure Track Academic Positions

Applications until December 19th, 2018 in the areas of Igneous Petrology; Structural Geology and Tectonics; and Environmental Geology and Hydrogeology.

The Department of Geology of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile is seeking to appoint three full time (44 hrs.) academic positions. 

These positions are for tenure track and involve strong commitment in research and teaching, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. 

The selected candidates are expected to participate and lead basic and applied research projects as well as build a vigorous externally-funded research program.

The open positions are in the following areas:

  • Geology (code FM-1805): Igneous Petrology
  • Geology (code FM-1806): Structural Geology and Tectonics
  • Geology (code FM-1807): Environmental Geology and Hydrogeology
